Features:
Wheel Size: The Rivolver CBN wheels are currently available in an 8” x 1.5” width and 5/8” bore to fit most 8” slow speed grinders. CBN wheels can be used on higher speed grinders as well but a special skill is required to make sure the grind is not too aggressive. With CBN wheels there is no abrasives flaking off the wheels so guards are no longer required. The 1.5” width provides ample room for the largest of chisels.
Radiused Edge: The Rivolver CBN wheels are specifically designed to properly sharpen all the tools in your tool box. The flat face for hollow grinding and with an accessory sharpening jig is perfect for all tools. The radiused edge is perfect for round nosed tools if you don’t have a fingernail sharpening jig. Simply glide the round edge of your tool on each of the radiused edges for perfect rounded results.
Long-Lasting Durability: Crafted from high-quality machined aluminum bodies, precisely machined for accurate size and flatness, these wheels are electroplated with CBN (cubic boron nitride) particles. CBN is nearly as hard as diamond, ensuring you can grind even the toughest steels with ease.
No Truing Needed: Unlike traditional grinding wheels, the Rivolver CBN Grinding Wheels never needs truing, saving you time and hassle. Plus, the wheel maintains its size, eliminating the need for periodic adjustments to your sharpening jigs.
Cooler Grinding Surface: CBN’s superior thermal conductivity, combined with the heavy machined aluminum body, keeps the abrasive surface cooler. This allows you to grind right to the tip of your tools without overheating, reducing the need for extensive honing afterwards.
Grit Selection: The Rivolver CBN wheels are available in four grit sizes. The 80 grit is for repairing damaged tools or aggressive grinding or re-shaping of the tools. The 180 grit is the perfect choice for general sharpening of the tools and the 350 grit is for providing a superior finish for day to day use. The 600 grit is for high polish tools for the utmost perfection of the finished edge of your tools.
